1st Customer Review : This is the liquid type
This is the liquid type not solid. This whole bottle was only good for one hot tub fill. I prefer the solid calcium chloride.

2nd Customer Review : Not very effective
You certainly would not want to use this on a pool. I apparently have very soft water and I needed to bring the hardness up by 200ppi in a SPA. That would require the entire bottle to accomplish. I had another product that was in a solid form (this is a liquid), though I can't recall the brand, it got the hardness up to the correct levels and only consumed 1/3 of that container (and it is a smaller container than this). So while this product works as directed and does in fact raise the hardness of the water, it is not very effective at its job.

A 20 word min review for a commodity product is a stretch. I guess I could do the sentence over in Espanol or Francais. Seriously, buying this stuff online is the only way to go. Really happy with Leisure Time biguanide system and their instruction sheet.
